The Pub in Toronto

This is q nice, quaint bar below the hotel. Pretty diverse menu. Tv screens all over the place. They have tables like a regular restaurant but also sofa seating to have a drink and chat. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to get away from the busy streets of Toronto and relax for a bit.

One of favorite spots downtown for a hideout, a drink, and some good pub food. Whether wings, fish n chips or my favorite, rib eye steak sandwich.

Great little spot downtown to go for an affordable drink and snacks. Chef Tony and bartender Shawn always going above and beyond to insure that I feel welcome. I am always having a great time playing pool and catching up with friends.

Quiet place for a cold beer with friends.

Great place and a solid atmosphere. One of the few places downtown where you can actually hear conversation as there's no music blasting in the background. Great for group gatherings. Staff is attentive.

Food is great and lots of it. The games are always on. But, not too much to stop a conversation.

We enjoyed this pub, downstairs from our hotel. We happened to be in Toronto for the championship basketball game and it was so great to see the Raptors win it! We lucked out to get the perfect table to watch the game and soak in the revelry of the crowd. Service was great even though it was one of the busiest nights - they prepared for it with ample staff and good attitudes. It is in the basement so we left the last few minutes of the game to watch it outside with the happy crowds on the street.

Great food by chef Tony, great staff and always has that welcoming feeling. It isn't like any of the chain restaurants or pubs in the area. Definitely worth a visit when downtown.

Staff is just absolutley amazing!

Came here for a work / Christmas lunch. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was very good. Lots of my coworkers went with the Braised Beef Poutine, and they all loved it. The staff were also very attentive and helpful.

One of my fave business lunch places. There are always free tables, reliable service, decent food...and they do serve Harp beer. :)

Went down to have a Guinness at an authentic pub style bar and was not disappointed. Good selection of domestic and import beers on tap. Bartender made our group an amazing cocktail when asked for a random drink. Free pool if you are drinking or eating which is a rarity these days. I would definitely go there for another beer.

Nice little pub in the basement. Serves as a very good alternative to the other bars and pubs around. Not one of those loud noisy sports bar. Yes the TVs are on and they are either showing sports or news. Nonetheless, the can still have a decent conversation without having to shout into each other's ears.Selection of beers on tap is decent. Menu is your usual pub food. Nothing to boast about in this area. Place is generally filled with people who work around the vicinity having a drink or two after work.I like this place because things are more decently priced and it is not too noisy.

Friendly atmosphere, from the staff and patrons alike. Had some great Guinness served quickly and with a smile. Only discovered this place from walking around & seeing a sign for it, basement bar that is well-styled and with ample seating. Was not crowded at all when I came through on a Monday night. Bathroom could've used some more cleaning but staff was well receptive when someone brought that up. Prices were pretty decent as well, not too bad for downtown Toronto!

This is a great place for some drinks and food with friends and family

A nice, inexpensive bar to meet with friends a get a drink. Not a fancy place, inexpensive, and friendly service.

Great place to go before a Jays, Leafs Raptors or Rock game at Scotiabank Arena. Good selection of beers and good food.

Delicious food and great service, considering our party had over a dozen people. Tony was great! Definitely a place to go for a nice social evening with your friends.

Great location nearby to the downtown sports action. Lots of space and can usually walk-in and get a seat. Decent food and prices.

This is my second review of the Strath. I continue to give it 5 stars. The right amount of food items... don't have to spend 10 minutes trying to select my food... pizza is really good(and thin crust). Like the beer choices. Place is just the right amount of busy... and they remember my group.

Nice calm atmosphere and the very best food we ate during our entire stay in Toronto. Came back the next day and tried a different item off the menu. Both times were absolutely spectacular. Many thanks from Sweden!

Good food, lots of screens to watch whatever sporting event is on and a great spot to meet up with friends and colleagues.

What a hidden gem. Had the lobster quesadilla and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Fantastic service as well. This will be my go-to before any show or concert. Thank you!

Met with my cousin to watch a basketball game. Gerat and cozy atmosphere. Good food and reasonably priced drinks. Washroom was clean although the paper towel diapenser was empty. A good sports bar if you are looking to just meet up with your drinking buddies.

food was substandard. staff was rude except our waitress who was lovely. not much good to say.

Met up with friends to catch up on our families activities. The staff was great. Not only great service but very personable. They were a helpful and shared many laughs during our visit. The food was very good. Sam, the chef was excellent. Reasonable in price and good portions. They have televisions, a large screen for viewing sports, news or they would accommodate your request for a special channel you would like to watch. Chef Tony and his great crew showed us the hospitality that made us talk about returning for another good time.

Good food and a nice vibe for a small pub! Probably a great place to hang out with friends and watch a game.

The beer selection is the standard Molson pub offerings and then a couple of stouts. If they offered a better craft selection it would be nice. The steak sandwich was well cooked and was better than most. I wish I had realized the side was onion rings because they were a bit greasy and heavy for lunch.

Fantastic service and great food

Fine for basic drinks. The food ranges from okay to inedible (just take the fish tacos off the menu). The atmosphere is between legion and dive bar.

Very polite, friendly and professional staff. Competitive prices. Convenient location to major sporting events. Lots of space.

Great server, pulled pork tacos cheap and tasty. But Sapporo pint was flat (ya, shoulda sent it back but I was thirsty and didn't have a lot of time).

Food has been consistently delicious, staff are lovely, and they even lent us cutlery when our Skip The Dishes order came without!

Great wings, beer was good. If your looking to play pool, this place is an option but there was no chalk. Also it closes a little early
